Typical Day

This is an example of our day at Playdays.  All activities are child led and adapted to an individual child's needs and development.  Babies feed/sleep times are on demand or at parent's requested times where at all possible.

7.45                                      First children arrive
                                             Breakfast if required
                                             Free play

8.15                                       Leave for school/playgroup run

9.10                                       Return home
                                              Free play/suitable TV

10.00                                     Visits to Toddler Groups, sports centre, park, play dates etc
                                              Or if at home - art & craft, messy play, free play, theme linked
                                              activities, stories, singing, playing in garden

10.30                                      Snack/drink time then continue as before

12.00                                      Lunch

12.45                                      Sleep/quiet time depending on ages and needs of child
                                               Free play, stories, suitable tv, similar to morning session

2pm onwards                          Various pickups

2.45                                        Leave to collect school children

3.20                                        Return home, snack/drink time
                                              Art/Craft, theme linked activities, cooking or free play
                                              (If weather permitting often visits to park, play area, soft play
                                              centres or local place of interest)

NB In the school holidays we go on lots of outings/day trips and have themed activites.  For example, the beach, farms, "Wicked Wednesdays" (holiday fun once a week), local places of interest.
